The work of BeeBristol is made possible by people like you. BeeBristol is run by volunteers, when we can pay our staff, it's only from money made by providing services or selling products. All donations made by you are spent on our projects. Just tell us how much you'd like to donate and thank you for your continued support.
Many of the projects we undertake would not be made possible without our volunteers.
We are always looking for more volunteers to join in the fun, so if you think you have what it takes to plant some wildflowers, build a bee hotel or even come and work in the office - we want to hear from some like-minded people - just get in touch and we'll reply with a project in your area or an opportunity that fits your skills.
New part-time volunteering opportunities
Are you looking to get more involved with your local community & the environment? Do you enjoy working in a workshop and with people? Are you passionate about big issues affecting the environment, society today and building people’s awareness about the importance of pollinating insects and the challenges of tomorrow? If this sounds like BeeBristol would like you to join our family!
We plant wildflower meadows creating habitat and forage for bees and other pollinators. We manage beehives across Bristol and support all pollinators by engaging with the public at events, festivals and though our art instillations. We also build bespoke planters, pop-up meadows and bee hotels for corporate clients to raise money for our projects and are looking for two Volunteers to get involved in the workshop for 1 day a week each.
You will be based in the workshop on Gloucester Road, Bristol and will be working alongside our designer, maker and workshop manager to help build our pop-up meadows, bespoke planters and bee hotels. We know that your time is precious so we will work with you to make sure you to get the most out of your experience with us. There is also possibility for you to get involved in other areas of the organisation to help BeeBristol thrive. We are looking for people with a motivated, proactive character, with some previous carpentry and tool experience in a workshop or similar environment. If you are a good communicator who shares our values of care for the environment and the future, co-operation and reuse of materials, BeeBristol would like you to get in touch as soon as possible!
